Starter Culinary MatchaThe tea is green, with a light umami of seaweed and a grassy aroma. This matcha comes from shade-grown tea leaves. Each spring, small batches of Okumidori tea leaves are picked and stone-milled to order using the traditional Mikage method. Planting, production, and sales are all carefully completed by ourselves. Shade Grown During shaded growth, the Camellia sinensis plant slows down growth, stimulates an increase in chlorophyll levels, and produces amino acids, improving the nutritional content of tea. Stone Ground Matcha powder made by stone-grinding is a fine, velvety powder that feels smooth to the touch, like talc. It dissolves completely and is fully ingested. Quality Safety The product is selected and ground from matcha leaves, with no food additives used during production. It meets the FDA food import standards in the United States.
